One of Life's Most Precious Gifts

I'm no scientist or book of knowledge, so I'm not here to blog about the properties, neccesities, and all the pollution dangers related to H2O, but to the relief and joy it can bring to us as life merrily rolls along. I will, however, note the facts that 3/4 of the earth is water, our body is mainly water, life cannot be sustained without water, and some of Earth's most breathtaking scenes include bodies of water. I have had 84 surgeries and I have 4 epidural blocks per year. On each of these you have to go without anything to drink. Now you all know when we are told we can't have something, we want it that much more. And if they are running, I feel like am going to die from thirst. When I wake up in recovery and they give me that first sip of water...it's like heaven. When you've been mowing the grass in 100° weather, and your throat gets parched and dry, nothing quenches that thirst like a glass of clear cold water. The minute it hits your lips, the relief begins and follows the flow of the water as your thirst becomes satisfied. And not just the inward body, don't you remember how WOW you feel if you've been running a race, gardening, working or playing outside and the sweat is rolling off of your hot, sticky body...and there's a pool or a lake, and before you know it, your head is breaking back up through the water and you immediately feel cool and refreshed. You see water is relief, it's refreshing, it's beauty, it's joy, it's pleasure, it's life...and there is another water. It is the Living Water, A water for your soul. A water that will eternally quench your thirsty soul. That water is Jesus Christ. When life happens and it has drained the well of your soul dry. Look to the Lamb of God and follow Him to the well.
